This website is run by Centre for Iberian and Latin American Visual Studies, a research centre which is closely associated with Birkbeck, University of London. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- Some text and links may be hard to read due to low colour contrast or unclear labels.
- Some images are missing alternative text, which may limit access for screen reader users.
- Certain interactive elements, like links and buttons, may not be usable without a mouse or may be difficult to tap on touchscreens.
- Some headings are not properly structured or descriptive, which can make navigation harder for assistive technology users.
- Zooming is restricted on some pages, which may affect users who need to enlarge content.
